Although NOT 1:12 (one-inch) dollhouse miniature scale, this 1:18 scale miniature die-cast metal Polly gasoline pump is a replica of a visible gas pump with metal base globe and octagon base. The entire unit measures about 5-1/2" high by 1-1/2" wide by 1" deep. With a limited number of 1:12 scale miniature automotive items available, experimentation and (often desperation) has lead to the use of 1:18 scale cars and automotive equipment in garages and service/filling stations created by miniaturists for one-inch scale use. Yes, this gas pump is slightly smaller than what would have been found in a filling station from roughly 1927 through 1948, but it does create a wonderful illusion of the time.
