Product Description
The spring tool, BamBam, simplifies the insertion of large grommets for dollhouse wiring! This tool eliminates the need for small brads or small grommets for tapewire connections. BamBam has a center punch on one end and a pin of the other designed to hold a large grommet. First, use the center punch (small pointed end) to mark the spot where you plan to install the grommet. Then simply place the grommet on the pin end of BamBam, press that end against the tapewire at the installation point and while firmly holding the tool in place, pull back on the tool and release. BamBam will slam down inserting the grommet into the tapewire securing both in place. If the grommet is not fully set in place, repeat the process until you achieve a good, flat fit. With practice you will discover the method that works best for you... multiple short, quick pull and snap or a couple long pull and snaps. BamBam even works on MDF (medium density fiberboard)! BamBam is an alternative to using an awl for installing eyelets (grommets) in a tapewire system.
This tool is designed only for use with grommets (aka eyelets), if you are looking for a tool to install brads, I would recommend using a pair of needle nose pliers or the brad placement tool.
