Product Description
One-inch (1:12) scale dollhouse miniature Victorian bathroom kit (F-230). Assembly required; I recommend the sink and toilet be permanently affixed to the wall/floor. Plastic. Made in the USA by Chrysnbon. The polystyrene kit includes materials needed to create:
- Wall-hung lavatory (wash bowl) sink
- High-tank water closet toilet
- Medicine cabinet
- Radiator
- Stool
- Swan decals
Materials needed to complete construction are:
- Fast drying clear cement for plastic
- Small artist brush
Use the pieces to create the bathroom of your dreams in miniature. Add your own choices of colors to the claw foot tub, consider a skirt around the sink. Use water base craft paints for the fixtures in colors that suit the era or your particular taste. I have seen some beautiful results from people who have used spray paints specifically for plastic too!
Check out our Blog to see how we used this kit in a roombox!
PLEASE NOTE: For people unfamiliar with this brand of miniature, Chrysnbon furniture kits are NOT recommended for children. The pieces are wonderful in terms of detail and scale, but are still quite delicate even once assembled and finished according to the instructions. Some people may find them challenging to assemble. If you are unfamiliar with this line of furniture, we would recommend you start with one of individual chair or table kits before investing in the larger, more complex kits.

Chrysnbon, Model kit F-230
I've really enjoyed making this kit for my 1/12 scale bathroom, the instructions were easy to read and understand, painting was fun. I used Testors Cement for plastic and Testors Acrylics.

very detailed kit, some finicky bits
This kit has some incredible detail. The medicine cabinet and toilet lid have a raised textured 'wood grain' surface. The 'metal' pipes and faucets have a shiny metallic colored finish. The faucets and claw feet are very realistic. The directions were pretty clear. The pieces have notches that fit together to make gluing and assembling easier. Even the underside of the sink and toilet tank have guides to show where to glue the support brackets. It is cheap looking plastic but it's not intended to be left unfinished without paint or stain. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because: -The seam on the toilet is pretty obvious. -It seems a little small for 1/12 scale. -Attaching the pipe to the toilet tank and bowl is very difficult. I used polystyrene cement as recommended but I could not get the pipe to stay attached. Eventually I just attached the pipe to the wall on its own and attached the tank to the wall above it. -I found it difficult to get the mirror into the cabinet without getting glue on the mirror surface. -all the pieces come in plastic 'trees' and need to be broken out. This leaves small nubs of plastic on some very delicate pieces that need to be trimmed off.

Iconic Bathroom
I was working on a 1950's style bathroom reminiscent of my mom's childhood home (where she still lives today) and this kit was the perfect solution.
