This empty plastic battery box measures 2.24 x 2.43 x 1.14 inches (56.9 x 61.8 x 29 mm). Holds eight AA batteries giving an output of 12 volts. An excellent power source for those small displays needing 12 volts to light them up. A temporary source for testing or when you do not have a convenient outlet for your power supply or transformer. The battery box includes a removable snap-on cap with wires to connect to your light fixtures or a source (i.e., tapewire to which you will connect your individual lights). The unit does not have an on/off switch, so you would either remove one battery or disconnect the snap-on cap from the unit to shut off the power supply to your lights.
