This paper mache book box is 9.75 inches high making it the perfect container for creating a "page" from your favorite book! The "book" opens to reveal a space that is about 9" high by 5" deep by 2" wide (think big book). Add a form core floor (and ceiling if you wish) and you have the perfect space to create a scene. Included in our book box is a strip of embossed wallpaper to install around the exterior of the box to form the edges of the pages. You can paint or stain this wallpaper to give it an antiqued page effect and highlight by dry-brushing a metallic gold or even a brown paint to highlight the raised embossed parts of the wallpaper for a beautiful, aged contrast.
Easily adaptable to a popular book nook as well! Create a setting inside the book that can only been seen once opened; combine a couple books (cutting out the adjoining walls) to create a wider space; cut and remove the "side pages" then create a setting within the narrow space that will be visible even when the book is closed.
