Product Description
Half-inch wide (exterior) basswood channel by Northeastern Scale Lumber is 22" long ; use this channel molding for trimming edges or hiding wiring and modifications in dollhouse miniature construction. Unfinished wood ready to stain or paint. Interior width measurement is about 13/32" while the sides rise about 3/16" (exterior) with an interior height of about 1/8". The sides are about 1/32" thick.
TIP: Do you have trouble cutting this channel? Do the side edges break or split when you attempt to cut the channel using a miter box? Try cutting the strip with the sides (legs) down. I have found that by inserting a filler strip of wood (3/32" x 1/4") such as MW4048 as a temporary support while cutting seems to protect the delicate sides from damage. While this strip may provide sufficient support, I have also added a piece of MW4019 alongside MW4048 for a more snug fit and even less potential for damage while cutting.
